I’ve reached a point of acceptance with my PTSD. It affects me, yes, and on some days it’s worse than others. But it doesn’t define me, and the more I learn about it and myself, the less it controls me.
It’s not because I don’t believe in the power of an individual to change the world. It’s because I believe SO DEEPLY in the power of an individual to change the world, that I chose to harness that power on my mat.
Getting over pain and disappointment is a process, and with effort and time it is possible to get over such difficult circumstances. The truth is, the moment we realize that not everything goes as planned all the time every time, the easier it will be to move through disappointment.
